During normal operation of high pressure boiler, a thin layer of magnetic iron oxide accumulates on the surface of the fire side and side wall of the inner boiler tube, which seems to stop further corrosion of the metal. However, with time passing, these deposits thicken and eventually result in corrosion under the deposits and impede heat transfer; normal operation of the boiler will be threatened by these results. Deposits such as rust scale on the heating surface of a high pressure boiler will harm the safety operation of such machines. Therefore, after a certain time of operation, chemical cleaning of the boiler should be decided by scaling analysis on the boiler tube when the machines halt; the tube of the high pressure boiler of power plants and petrochemical plants must be kept clean to prevent losses caused by the shutdown of machines due to tube broken resulting from corrosion and overheating. The best timing for boiler cleaning is before the occurrence of tube brroken due to corrosion, serious scaling or overheating.
